Chairman
Michael acts as chairman of Canyon Point in addition to founder and CEO of Axial Reade. Michael has extensive experience in and a true passion for IT – he created his own software company in high school, studied computer science in college and has invested in the space for 18 years. Prior to founding Axial Reade, Michael was a senior member of the investment team at MHR Fund Management, a private equity firm that invests in middle-market companies with an emphasis on deeply undervalued and complex situations. Prior to MHR, Michael was a senior investment professional at Owl Creek Asset Management, a value-oriented investment firm. Michael started his career at Rothschild & Co as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Restructuring group. Michael graduated cum laude from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
Founder
Josh is a seasoned executive with 30 years of experience in the IT Services industry. For nearly 22 years, he was the CEO and owner of Western Digitech, a Managed IT Service Provider that he successfully sold to CompassMSP in 2019. After the acquisition, Josh held various executive positions at CompassMSP, including Interim CEO, COO, CSO and Head of Acquisitions, during which time he led four additional strategic acquisitions for the company. Josh has experienced every aspect of M&A in the MSP industry – as an operator, seller and buyer he knows what it’s like to be in your seat and prides himself on providing transparent and thoughtful insights. Mr. Kotler received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami and is a former First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Head of M&A
Sam has nearly a decade of experience investing in companies across multiple industries, completing transactions totaling over $2bn in enterprise value. As Head of M&A for Canyon Point, Sam is responsible for evaluating and executing M&A, as well as providing financial support post-close. Sam is also a member of Axial Reade Capital’s investment team and was previously an investment professional at MidOcean Partners. Sam began his career at Bank of America as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Leveraged Finance group. Sam graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Management and a Minor in Real Estate.
Head of Finance and Accounting
Mike is responsible for overseeing all accounting related matters for Canyon Point. He provides invaluable financial and accounting insights – taking back-office workflows off your hands. Mike is also the Head of Accounting for Axial Reade Capital, prior to which he was a Director in IQEQ’s CFO services practice and has extensive accounting and consulting experience within the alternative investment management industry. Prior to IQEQ, Mike worked at Kreisher Miller, a regional accounting, tax, and advisory firm, where he performed audit, attestation, operational due diligence, and performance consulting services to clients within the financial services industry. Mike started his career at KPMG in the firm's investment management audit practice, where he specialized in private equity funds, hedge funds, common and collective trust funds, and registered mutual funds. Mr. Lee is a Certified Public Accountant. He received both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from La Salle University, and he holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement.
Legal Counsel
Seth oversees all legal matters for Canyon Point, including guidance in completing transactions, compliance and internal legal matters. Seth is also the General Counsel for Axial Reade, prior to which he was a Partner in the Corporate Department of Morrison Cohen LLP, a law firm in New York, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital/emerging company financings and other strategic corporate transactions. Seth also has extensive experience advising clients in connection with investment funds, joint ventures, debt and equity securities offerings, securities law compliance, bank financings, commercial transactions, corporate governance matters and other general commercial and transactional matters. Seth began his career as an Associate in the M&A/Private Equity Group of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP, a Wall Street law firm. Seth received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia’s Honors Program and a Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School.
M&A Associate
Hadley is responsible for assisting in evaluating and executed M&A. Hadley is also an investment professional at Axial Reade Capital. Prior to joining Axial Reade Capital, Hadley was an Associate at Brookfield Capital Partners. Hadley began her career at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Industrials group. Hadley graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English.
Vice President of ITSG
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Mike realized early on the role information technology could play in helping companies become more productive and more profitable. He took his early IT experience to the University Hospital where he helped create one of the first radiology imaging systems in the country. In 1987, Mike founded ITSG and has made it one of the most respected IT support and services companies in the region.
Vice President of TechSolutions
As Vice President and Co-founder of TechSolutions, Rich Kenney shares responsibility for the overall operation and direction of the company. In addition, he works to provide business recommendations for our clients regarding their IT investments. He is respected in the Delaware business community as a practical, plain-spoken consultant that has a unique talent for helping non-technical business owners and office managers understand their options using business terms and without IT jargon. He also provides education to the TechSolutions staff, and oversees the business development process for the company.
President of Synivate
As the President and Founder of Synivate, Sean implements forward-thinking strategies that incorporate automation and best-practice alignment, ultimately reducing risk for organizations and empowering them to scale effectively. He also focuses on helping other MSPs excel, believing that sharing insights fosters a stronger, more collaborative tech community. Sean founded Synivate in 2011, establishing a leading MSP in Massachusetts that supports SMBs throughout the Northeast.
President of TechSolutions
Rick Monnig is the President and Co-Founder of TechSolutions. He is responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the company. He is a hands-on leader involved in managing day-to-day operations, consulting with clients, collaborating with over 30 technology partners, and maintaining internal application systems. With almost two decades of experience working directly with clients, Rick currently helps run the business by educating, mentoring, and supporting TSI’s team of technicians in addition to working directly with clients. His commitment to supporting the technicians translates to better service for TechSolutions clients.
President of ITSG
Craig joined ITSG in 2009 and became a partner in 2014. Clients soon came to rely on him for his skills in keeping their systems running and getting projects completed on time. He brings over 15 years of experience in Information Technology to the organization. Craig is a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Information Systems and Technology. He also holds Microsoft and CompTIA certifications.
